About us

We are six students with a mission.

Kippe’s was created during the 2025/26 school year at HTL Mössingerstraße Klagenfurt — as a Junior Company, with a simple idea to tackle a big problem.

The Problem

Cigarette butts are the most common form of waste worldwide. 4.5 trillion every year. Around 140,000 end up in the environment every second — carrying nicotine, heavy metals, and microplastics. A single cigarette butt can contaminate up to 60 liters of groundwater.

Our Solution

Kippe’s is a compact, reusable clip-box that attaches directly to a cigarette pack. This means: no ashtray needed, no throwing cigarette butts on the ground. Dispose of them properly instead of simply throwing them away.

Odor-proof. Heat-resistant. Recyclable. Regionally 3D-printed using sustainable filament.

Where We Want to Go

We want to continue Kippe’s beyond the Junior Company — with a recycling strategy for collected cigarette butts and a distribution network in tobacco shops, with event organizers, and with companies. We want to turn a box into a movement.

Kippe’s. Dispose properly, not just throw away.
